Thesis: The foundation of black sororities began to promote the advancement of sisterhood among college students.
First Topic: The history of the black sororities began on the campus of Howard University in 1908.
Sencond Topic: Since the establishment of the first black sorority, there has been three more to follow.
Third Topic: There are different procedures you have to take in order to get into a sorority.
Conclusion: Sororities have come a long way since they first began. There are now four different historically black sororites on college campus' across the United States.

Although your outline is short, it sounds as if you may be structuring this with more of a historical rather than an ethnographic perspective in mind. While some background history is good (and should be included in the intro.) you don't want the entire paper to focus on this.
